Lights, camera, action!

Welcome back!

This week we have been looking at ways we can use camera angles to tell a story, we have been collaborating with our team mates to make the story come to life. We are working in groups of 4 where we have been taking turns at different roles. 

They are: 

• Scene Manager - 1 person moves the characters

• Camera person - 1 person takes the photo

• Director - 1 person tells the characters what to do

• Editor - 1 person looks at the final shots and tells next steps

 

It has been fun taking turns because it is helping us see what the different roles do and how they are all important to make the final movie. 

We are planning on using stop motion to make our movie and we can't wait to share it with you soon! 

 

Storytelling and Relationships

Hey there, 

Keeping with the idea of storytelling, we have been working as a class to learn more about storyboarding and planning our ideas to help prepare us for our Film Festival movie making! 

We have been learning about what makes a good story and how we can hook our audience in using different sounds and camera angles. Check out a few of our plans here: 

Our next stage is to share our ideas and plans with the class and decide whick story we want to create - maybe some of our ideas might join together - which is a big part of building smart relationships! 

Collaborating with others to learn and grow with one another!

Planning - Getting our ideas together

We have been looking at ways we can use story telling to build smart relationships. We have been looking at writing Positive, Thoughtful, Helpful comments online.  

It has been useful to think about how we are using our words to connect with people, practising different ways of communication with others. 

We are looking forward to practicing this in upcoming sessions!
