Last Friday, the 13th May, we were so excited because we were having visitors to our class. Just before morning tea there was a knock at the door and Ms Bullot and our teacher came inside with two ladies. Ms Bullot introduced them to us as the "word fairies" because they were bringing us brand new dictionaries. We can use our dictionaries to help us with our writing and look up the meanings of new words.
Mrs Kearns told us a little bit about what Pakuranga Rotary does in the community. They raise money to buy Dictionaries for children not only for our school but for children around the Pacific. They have been coming to our school for many years and we are very grateful.
We all signed our names inside our books and our teacher took photos of us. Here is a picture of us after we had received our books. Thank you Pakuranga Rotary - we feel blessed.
